Dundee sits on the Lake Wales Ridge along US-27, between Haines City and Lake Wales, with Lake Marie and other small lakes nearby. Residents voted to keep it a town rather than become a city, and it still has a small-town core.
Around that core, new subdivisions have been filling in. The town's planning records include communities such as Woodland Ranch Estates, Seasons at Bella Vista, Crystal Lake Preserve and Shores at Lake Dell.
